Hold onto your glowsticks Lisbon, we’re coming for you! After over a decade of confetti-filled, bubble-blasting, family raving in the UK, Australia, Europe and the US… Big Fish Little Fish is officially launching in Lisbon this September!

On the afternoon of Saturday, 27th September, we’ll be bringing the Original Family Rave to Portugal at the stunning Greenhouse Café. Tucked under the trees of Lisbon’s magical Monsanto park, Greenhouse Café is a stunning open-air venue with wooden textures, dreamy lighting, and a laid-back, bohemian spirit. With its lush garden setting, incredible cocktails, and natural stage area, it already feels like a mini-festival in the forest, the perfect backdrop for our first ever family rave in Portugal!!

So… what’s a family rave?

If you’re new here, welcome! BFLF is the original family rave, born in London back in 2013 by a seasoned raver, who wanted to create a party she could take her young family to. Since then, we’ve become an international phenomenon, hosting hundreds of events in iconic venues like Fabric London, the V&A Museum, and even aboard boats and under festival tents.

Our raves are designed for families with children aged 0–8 years (but all ages are welcome). Expect:

🎧 Proper DJs spinning house, techno and DnB (you won’t find baby shark here)
🫧 Multi-sensory dance floor with bubbles, foam, balloons and our famous parachute dance
🎨 Craft tables and creative play corner
👶 A baby chill area (for our tiniest ravers)
🍹 A licensed bar (for the biggest ones)

It’s a mini-festival vibe, done family-style. Safe, inclusive and brilliantly bonkers.

Why Lisbon?

Why not?! Lisbon is bursting with amazing families, music lovers and creative communities. And when BFLF fam, seasoned raver and toddler mum Mel moved to the city, she knew Big Fish Little Fish needed to come with her. After experiencing the vibrant energy of Lisbon’s parks, venues and family scene, it was clear: this was the perfect place to start a new BFLF chapter. We can’t wait to bring the magic to Portugal and build a whole new community of little ravers and their grown-ups.
