LANCASTER Big Fish Little Fish – Father’s Day Weekend Family Rave with DJ Chad Jackson
World-famous, award-winning, Glastonbury Festival performing, family rave sensation BFLF are at Kanteena Lancaster. It’s a Father’s Day weekend rave up, so treat Dad early and bring him raving! Family fun for the post-rave generation of parents. Helping parents be responsibly irresponsible since 2013. The original family rave.
We’re so excited to be at Kanteena, it’s brilliant venue in the centre of Lancaster. Big Fish little Fish will be taking-over the whole venue! That means raving in the warehouse space, dancing in the fabulous courtyard and chill space in the club room upstairs. Kanteena will be providing food / snack options and drinks specials. Perfect for an afternoon out with all family.
Hacienda legend Chad Jackson will be on the decks playing a (grown up) dance music set with festival vibes! He’ll be banging out the tunes for family raving together on a dancefloor with confetti cannons, bubbles, giant balloons, and our fab parachute dance finale.
There will be…

Bye bye glowsticks
BFLF made the decision to stop giving out glowsticks due to environmental issues with single use plastics. We try to be as environmentally friendly as we can at our events using biodegradable balloons where possible, recycling our mural pens and being mindful of the materials we use on our craft tables. People are still welcome to bring them. We’ve had loads of positive support for this, so we hope you embrace it too!
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
All ages very welcome, but activities are designed with 0-8 years olds in mind. Music is played at safe levels for everyone.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Kanteena is situated in the centre of Lancaster. It is approximately 10-15 minutes’ walk from Lancaster train station and 5 minutes’ walk from the main bus station. There are several carparks nearby.
What’s the refund policy?

Safety
Adults remain responsible for their children at all times.
The event will be busy. The dancefloor is for adults and children to dance together. For indoor events low lighting/club lighting rigs (no strobes) are used.
Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with limited seating.
Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance.
A licensed bar will be open during the event, but no glass is permitted.
Stairs / accessibility
Wheelchair access to the ground floor dance area and courtyard is available. There is a small club space on the first floor and sadly this has no access. There is a toilet on the ground floor, which is suitable for smaller wheelchairs. Please contact rachel@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk, if you require further information before booking tickets.
Sound levels
Music level is set and monitored throughout to abide by WHO guidelines. This is far lower than usual club levels but given the number of children attending there is a constant level of background noise during the event. Most parents do not use ear defenders on their children, but if yours are particularly sensitive to noise or if you want them to nap then you might want to consider it.
Changing facilities
Temporary changing tables and mats will be available. There will be no high-chairs available.
Photography
We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Contact Rachel at infonw@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk
Just a reminder…
Please be aware that BFLF is designed to provide a family-friendly, authentic club experience and is not a traditional children’s party or disco. There will be no kids’ music, games or DJ shout outs. The effect is to give families unity on the dancefloor – dancing together. DJs will be announced in advance of each party via Twitter and Facebook but may be subject to unavoidable change.
