BARROW – Glitter and Glow Family Rave Up – DJ Fallback – Saturday 2th October

Award-winning family rave sensation Big Fish Little Fish are coming to The Forum, Barrow for a family rave up! The original family ravers bringing dance music to families since 2013.

What kind of fun are we going to have?

– DJ Fallback (resident DJ for Kendal Calling, Bluedot and Snowboxx festivals) will be on the decks providing two hours of (grown-up) dance club tunes for raving together as a family. He’ll be providing a soundtrack of festival vibes. 2 hours of Funk, Disco, House, Breaks, and everything in between. Our dancefloor has bubbles, confetti cannons, giant balloons, and a parachute dance finale!

– Craft tables with themed crafts, large colouring-in mural, and playdough table.

– Play area with tents and tunnels for younger children

– Baby chillout space with mats, toys, and small ball pool for babies.

– Free transfer tattoos for all.

– Licensed bar and snacks available to buy.

– Face painter stall at an additional pay per face.

– Optional (but encouraged!) fancy dress. Get your rave on with our ‘Glitter and Glow’ theme. We’ll be getting our festival sparkles on and going full neon to get in the raving mood!

FAQs and Info

In the event the event is moved due to Covid regulations all ticket holders will be offered a transfer or refund.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All ages very welcome, but activities are designed with 0-8 years olds in mind. Music is played at safe levels for everyone.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

infonw@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk

There is a no refund policy, but if you are unable to attend you may sell your tickets to someone else. If well in advance of a sold-out event, please email infonw@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk so we can try and match you with someone on the waiting list. If within 24hours of the event, then please post them to sell on the Facebook event page. Please inform us if you post on Facebook, as we validate these posts.

How loud will it be?

Music level is set and monitored throughout to abide by WHO guidelines. This is far lower than usual clubs’ levels but given the number of children attending there is a constant level of background noise during the event. Though quieter than at adult events, it is still loud enough to feel like you are at a club. Most parents do not use ear defenders on their children but if yours are particularly sensitive to noise or if you want them to nap then you might want to consider it.

*Adults remain responsible for their children at all times.

*For families with younger children (8s and under) though all ages are welcome, as long as there are both adults and children in your party. Adult only groups are not admitted. A max of 3 children per adult in a family. If attending as a large birthday party, please ensure one adult to two children minimum. We will refuse entry to groups where there is inadequate supervision. If there are more than 4 adults per child in your group, please contact The Forum for pre-approval before buying tickets.

*Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred/sold on.

*Each member of your group must have a ticket including under 2s who are free (but ticketed).

*The event will be busy. The dancefloor is for adults and children to dance together.

*Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with limited seating.

*The event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance.

*Buggies must be left in buggy park outside the event space and will not be allowed on the dance floor. We advise very young children are worn in slings.

*A licensed bar will be open during the event, but no glass is permitted.

*We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes, as well as Barra Culture and the Forum.

*DJs will be announced in advance of each party via Twitter and Facebook but may be subject to unavoidable change.

*Please be aware that BFLF is designed to provide a family friendly, club experience at safe volume levels. It is not a traditional children’s party or disco, and we don’t play kids music or have games. The effect is to give families the chance to rave together to great dance music on the Big Fish Little Fish dancefloor.

*Public health precautions: all BFLF staff will do a lateral flow test before the event and wear masks inside the venue (with exceptions). We ask that all adult attendees do a lateral flow test within 24hours of the start of the event. Anyone with a positive test, showing symptoms or told to self isolate should not attend the event but we will transfer your tickets to a future party (if you notify us within 48 hours of the event). This way we hope to help protect each other and keep our clubs open. See you on the dancefloor!
